A quick guide gives a brief summary of the steps needed to complete a quest whilst still helping players advance through it. Quick guides should leave out any details that aren't required to complete the quest such as lore and storylines. The kitten appears throughout the quest Pieces of Hate. It consistently appears nearby in locations while the player is progressing through the quest, and when spoken to, it gives small bits of cryptic dialogue. Players do not need to wear a catspeak amulet to understand or respond to it. It is implied by Madame Shih's dialogue at the end of the quest that only the player can see this kitten.
A Pirate's hat is a possible reward from doing level 3 Treasure Trails, and can also be traded with other players. The pirate's hat can be stored in a player-owned house costume room. Players who have completed Cabin Fever, and have a book o' piracy in their inventory, can pay Patchy 500 coins to attach a pirate's hat to an eye patch to create a hat eyepatch.
Once the pirates leave, you dock and discover that not all the pirates that landed left on the ship. You discover one of them is marooned and he gives you the background on just what you are getting yourself into, searching out a fellow pirate's treasure. “Thank goodness you’ve found me!

For 500 coins, it can be attached to Double eyepatches by talking Patchy on Mos Le'Harmless, creating the Pirate hat and eyepatches.It can also be combined with an eye patch or left.
